Thursday evening we had a lightning strike too close for comfort. It may not have actually hit the house, but it was close enough to knock out power for a bit and toast 2 t.v.'s, our cordless phone and the Playstation 2, and part of the computer. We were without cable and internet for two days, but the good news is that everyone is fine and it could have been a lot worse. Here are some shots of what the sky looked like from our front door and deck. (I tried to take pictures of the hail on the deck for Dan, but one lightning strike is enough for me).
I know it looks like nothing, but really it's the way the sky looked from my back deck.

Great pictures... love the last one.
When we lived on 60th ST., I can remember a lighting that struck in that big garden that mom had. It was so bright and loud, I thought it hit our house. That's the one thing that I miss about the mid-west - I haven't seen lightning or heard thunder in over 3 years!!
you may be wondering what broggerville is, that's the blog Daniel started about 1 year ago- it's blank. Who knows, he talks about doing a "man's blog" with it.
Anyway, glad to hear everyone is okay.
Hey Susan!!! Its heavy Z!! You have a beautiful family and I am so glad that we can keep in touch this way!!
p.s I saw Doug walking around your neighborhood wanting either his tips or a 1/3 lb steakburger with mustard.
